Water Valve Kit

The SxS Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve allows water to enter the refrigerator’s water dispenser and ice maker. The package includes a new water valve, instructions, ¼" tubing and a plastic union. Remove the cardboard back from the bottom of the refrigerator to access this part and remove the copper tubing. Place a towel down to catch any dripping water. The old valve has screw on compression fittings, whereas the new valve has press and lock fittings. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also, be sure to turn off the refrigerator’s water supply. Helpful Tip: Some refrigerator models also require a separate connection fitting (Tubing Coupler, item 2119001).
