Bearing and Seal Kit

The Dryer Front Bearing and Felt Seal Kit encloses the drum in the appliance to prevent air from escaping during the drying cycle. If the seal in your dryer is worn out or damaged, you may notice brown stains on your clothes after use. This is not caused by oil from the dryer; the clothes are most likely getting pinched in the drum’s holes during tumbling due to a faulty seal. As the felt seal wears out and compresses over time, it can also cause hot air to escape the drum, making the drying cycle less effective and efficient. This assembly includes (1) felt seal, (1) felt bearing, (4) locator pins and (1) tube of adhesive to complete the repair. Installing this part will require basic hand tools and disassembly of the dryer. Previous experience will be helpful but is not required to complete this repair. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this assembly. Note that you may need to trim the felt seal before installation; refer to the included instructions sheet for more information.
