The Dryer Thermal Fuse Kit includes (1) jumper wire, (3) screws, (2) connectors, installation instructions, (1) hi-limit thermostat and (1) thermal cut-off. The thermal fuse is located on the blower housing and shuts off the heating element when the dryer overheats. If your dryer won't start or will run but not heat up, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. Note that the thermal fuse cannot be reset. A clogged dryer vent is the most common cause for a blown thermal fuse. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
