Clutch Band and Lining Kit

This Top Load Washer Clutch Band Kit supports the washer’s clutch, which drives the connection between the transmission and the inner wash tub. If the clutch is worn out or malfunctioning, it may prevent the tub from spinning during the cleaning cycle. Note that this kit includes the band and lining only; the clutch itself is sold separately. This kit includes (1) clutch band, (1) brake cam driver, (2) springs, (2) spring end caps and installation instructions. If the brake cam driver is cracked or damaged in your machine, you will need to purchase this complete kit to replace it. Installing this kit will require basic hand tools, disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Helpful Tip: Consider replacing the Clutch (item 2670) while the washing machine is disassembled.
