Agitator Repair Kit

This Top Load Washer Agitator Repair Kit is designed for use with select compatible washing machines. If the top part of the agitator is not moving properly in your appliance but the bottom still functions correctly, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. This repair kit includes (4) agitator dogs, (1) medium length cam, (1) cap seal, (1) washer for the agitator bolt and (1) thrust washer. We recommend using a small amount of grease (item 350849) with this kit if no grease is present on the old thrust washer. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner Tablets* (item W10135699) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation. Recommended Item: Also consider replacing the bolt (item 539455) and getting a spare set of dog ears (item 3109). The bolt can get corroded and the dog ears wear out over time.
