This Disposer Splash Guard is made of durable black plastic and is used to keep debris from exiting the disposal during the grinding process. If the current splash guard in your appliance is torn, damaged or missing, replacing this accessory may alleviate these issues. This is a universal part that can be used across several brands; check to see if your model number is compatible. Installing this accessory will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the disposal and novice repair experience. You must shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
