Light Socket

The Refrigerator Light Socket Kit houses the light bulb in the refrigerator. If your light is no longer working in your refrigerator, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. To access the socket, remove the light bulb from your refrigerator and pull on the tab of the socket with a small screwdriver to remove it. Make sure when attaching the light shield to the socket, you pay attention to the position of the light bulb in your fridge so the shield will cover it correctly. This kit includes the new socket, a light shield, (2) wire terminals (if needed depending on your model) and instructions. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
