Adaptive Defrost Timer Kit

The SxS Refrigerator Adaptive Defrost Control Board manages the defrost cycle in the appliance as the evaporator temperature changes during normal operation. If the control board isn’t triggering the freezer to enter defrost mode it will cause the fresh food compartment to no longer cool. If you’re experiencing this issue with your appliance, the adaptive control board may be broken and need replacement. Installing this part will require basic tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
