Flat Igniter

This ceramic Gas Oven Flat Style Igniter Kit replaces any flat oven igniter where the ceramic is at least 5" long. If the element itself shorted out or if the igniter of your oven glows for more than 90 seconds without lighting the gas flame, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. The igniter must glow white hot to correctly light the oven; if it glows red or orange it is not functioning as it should. Note that you'll need to reuse the metal shield from old igniter and that this part does not replace round igniters or igniters with blue ceramic. Be sure to handle the grey coil with care when installing. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the range and novice repair experience. You must unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
