Heating Element

The Dryer Heating Element Kit generates heat in the appliance during the drying cycle. This heating element assembly also includes the replacement high-limit 240-volt 4750-watt thermostat (item L248-80). If your dryer isn’t heating properly, check for a blown thermal fuse or thermal cut out. If you see a break in the coil of your appliance’s heating element, you can replace the malfunctioning part with this assembly. Installing the element kit will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
