Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Helpful tip: The thermal fuse often blows when the exhaust vent gets clogged with lint. The vent should be cleaned once a year especially if it is longer than 15'.
