Drain Pump and Motor Assembly

This Top Load Washer Drain Pump is located at the bottom of the appliance and removes water during the drain portion of the wash cycle. If your washing machine isn't draining as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. This kit includes (1) drain pump, (1) water shield and (3) screws. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner Tablets* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
