Clutch Assembly

This Top Load Washer Clutch drives the drum during the spin portion of the wash cycle. If your clothes are still soaked after spinning or the appliance makes an unexpected sound during operation, the clutch of the washer may be worn out and require replacement. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Helpful Tip: Also consider replacing the Stator (item W10754158) while you have the washing machine’s cabinet removed.
