Go to StoreThis Front Load Washer Motor Control Board provides power to the motor and also controls the washer's motor speed. If the motor isn't functioning properly, or not functioning at all, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. The Control Board lives behind the front bottom access panel of your washing machine and is mounted to the base of the washer. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the oven before installing this part. Helpful Tip: We recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to prevent odor-causing residue from building up in your washing machine drain. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
