Lid Lock Assembly

This Top Load Washer Lid Lock Assembly prevents the washer lid from opening during the wash cycle and spin cycle. If the lid of your appliance won’t stay locked or the current lid lock is cracked or damaged, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. In order to access the part, you'll need to release the control panel. It may be easier to release the control panel clips by releasing the top first then accessing the clips from underneath. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies.
