The SxS Refrigerator Water Filter Housing is a white plastic part that surrounds and protects the appliance’s water filter and connects the water lines to the water filter. This easy-to-install cover measures approximately 5" x 12". To access the part, unscrew the water filter counter-clockwise and remove it, then slide the old cover off. Hook the new cover onto each hinge pin, and then re-install the filter by turning it clockwise. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, such as a multi-screwdriver, as well as some disassembly of the refrigerator and intermediate repair experience. Before installing this high-quality replacement part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety.
