Go to StoreThe Dishwasher Drain Pump is located at the bottom of your dishwasher and is the mechanism that drains the water. If your water isn't draining, the motor of the drain pump may have shorted out, or the body of the drain pump could be cracked. Replacing the pump may alleviate these issues. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the Dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the oven before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Dishwasher Cleaner* (item W10282479) to help reduce limescale and mineral build-up that can be unsightly and affect your dishwasher’s performance. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
