This Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly receives water from the home's water inlet valve and then holds the water inside the device until the water is frozen solid. It then ejects the ice and refills again until the ice bucket is full. This kit includes (1) ice cube mold with control device. This is an accessory that can be used across several brands; check to see if your model number is compatible. Installing this accessory will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. Be sure to unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this kit. You must also turn off the water supply to the refrigerator before installation. Recommended Item: You may also need an Ice Bucket (item WPW10171529), Water Valve (item WPW10498976), Water Line Installation Kit (item 8003RP) and Fill Tube to complete this installation. Helpful Tip: Installing a Water Filter to a new or existing water supply line will improve the taste of your appliance’s water and ice.
