Drain Cap

The Refrigerator Ice Maker Reservoir Drain Cap covers the reservoir drain port opening in your refrigerator's ice machine. Reach into the ice bin and unthread the existing cap if its still intact. Install the new cap by threading it onto the bottom of the reservoir tray. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the ice machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the ice maker or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also be sure to turn off the ice machine's water supply.Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Ice Machine Cleaner* (item W11179302) once a month to help reduce residue that can build up in your ice machine without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
