High Limit Thermostat

The Dryer High Limit Thermostat is a 2-terminal safety device that cuts off the power to the heating element if the appliance begins to overheat. The only difference between the high limit thermostat and the operating thermostat is their opening and closing temperatures. If your dryer won’t heat, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Helpful Tip: The replacement part may look different than the original in your appliance, but the part will still install and work the same.
