Infinite Switch

This Range Element Control Switch turns the surface element on and off and controls how much heat the element produces. If your element remains at high heat or doesn’t turn on at all, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. To access the part, you'll need to remove the back panel of the range. Depending upon your model, you may not have the same terminal blocks and you may need to swap out your wires one at a time. This switch is for 6-inch burners (5.2- 6.6 amp). For 8" burners, use part WP3149400 at whirlpoolparts.com under item number 2786. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
