Felt Seal

The Dryer Felt Seal encloses the drum in the appliance to prevent air from escaping during the drying cycle. If the seal in your dryer is worn out or damaged, you may notice that your dryer does not tumble properly. As the felt seal wears out and compresses over time, it can also cause hot air to escape the drum, making the drying cycle noisy and less effective. Required Accessory: You will need High Temperature Adhesive (item WPY055980) to complete this repair. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
