Lid Switch

The Top Load Washer Lid Switch Assembly detects if the lid of the washer is open or closed and prevents the appliance from spinning or agitating if the lid isn’t secured. If your washer won’t initiate the cleaning cycle, the current lid switch could be damaged and require replacement. This assembly includes (1) lid switch with actuator and wire harness, (2) zip ties and installation instructions. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies.
