If your washer is making an unusual noise during the wash cycle, the bolt is most likely damaged. To access the bolt, you'll first need to remove the fabric softener dispenser and then the barrier cap. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You should unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
