The only difference between the high limit thermostat and the operating thermostat is their opening and closing temperatures. If your dryer won’t heat, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Note that the thermistor should read around 50 to 60Kohms at room temperature.Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
