The Dryer Idler Pulley Arm attaches to the idler pulley wheel and the idler pulley wheel helps the drive belt rotate the dryer drum. The main reason you might need to replace this part is if the bearing is damaged. To access this part, you'll need to remove your dryer door and the front panel of your dryer. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Recommended Items: Drive Belt (item 661570V). The drive belt is a very long, slender belt that wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor pulley. If the drum will not turn when the dryer is turned on the belt is likely broken. While the dryer is disassembled, also consider replacing the idler pulley (item W10116792).
