If the evaporator is freezing up and affecting the performance of the refrigerator, replacing the defrost heater may alleviate this issue. This radiant heater features quartz glass and measures approx. 20-1/4" L with 450 W. Installing this part will require basic hand tools and disassembly of the refrigerator. Previous repair experience will be helpful but is not necessary. Be sure to unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this.
