High Limit Thermostat

The Dishwasher High Limit Thermostat is a safety device located at the bottom of the dishwasher. The only difference between the high limit thermostat and the operating thermostat is their opening and closing temperatures. If your dishwasher won’t heat, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the water supply under the sink.
