This Top Load Washer Drive Replacement Motor includes the motor and the motor shield. The drive motor has two shafts – one shaft drives the pump, and the other shaft drives the transmission. The motor causes your washer to spin and agitate properly during the washing cycle. If your washer no longer spins or agitates, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies.
