Defrost Thermostat

This French Door Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat is a safety device that clips onto the evaporator in the freezer. This part turns off the defrost heater in the event that it becomes too warm in the freezer section. If your refrigerator does not defrost as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Note that you'll also need two wire nuts (item 3288792) to complete this repair.
