Door Striker

This Range Single Door Strike fits on the inside of your range and is the locking mechanism that latches to the door to ensure the oven door stays closed. Because the door strike is made of plastic, constant use can result in damage. If you find that your oven door will not stay closed, or that your oven will not preheat properly, it may be because your door strike has been damaged and is not keeping the door closed. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the range and novice repair experience. You must unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn the gas supply off if applicable before starting the repair.
