Surface Infinite Switch

The Electric Range Surface Burner Control Switch operates the dual-surface element, turning it off and on and regulating the heat intensity. If your element remains at high heat or doesn't turn on at all, replacing the surface element switch (also called the infinite switch) may alleviate this issue. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the range and novice repair experience. You must unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Helpful Tip: Taking a digital photograph of the current wiring connections before replacing this part is advisable to aid with proper installation.
