This Range Surface Burner Control Switch operates your appliance's surface element, turning it off and on and regulating its heat intensity. This switch (also called the infinite switch) is for an 8" burner and sends voltage to the surface element coil. If your element remains at high heat or doesn’t turn on at all, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part.
