Door Spring

The Dishwasher Door Spring applies tension to the door through the door hinge to prevent the door from dropping too quickly when you open the dishwasher. Use caution when installing the door spring because the spring is under tension and could snap. To access the part, you'll need to remove the screws that mount the dishwasher to the counter top. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher before installing this part.
