Retainer Clip

This Top Load Washer Retainer Clip is used to hold the washer pump to the motor assembly. If this part is damaged or missing or your direct drive washing machine won't drain, this part may need to be replaced. Tilt back the washing machine with a friend or prop it up on something sturdy to access the part. Use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the retainer clip from the machine. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also be sure to shut off the hot and cold water supplies.
