Drive Belt

The Dryer Drum Belt is a very long, slender belt that circles the dryer’s drum and attaches it to the motor to create constant spinning during the drying cycle. If your dryer’s motor is running but the drum isn’t turning, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Helpful Tip: While the dryer is disassembled, consider replacing the idler pulley (item 8547174V) during the repair.
