Temperature Switch

The Top Load Washer Temperature Switch allows you to select the temperature of the water that enters the tub during the cleaning cycle. If this switch fails, you may notice that the incorrect temperature of water (too cold or too hot) is filling into the wash tub. Note that this part does not include the temperature switch knob, but you can purchase it separately. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
