If your refrigerator is not cold, or you hear humming or clicking noises coming from the back of the appliance, the start device assembly may need to be replaced. Installing this part will require basic tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and prior repair experience. Remember to unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also turn off the refrigerator’s water supply before you begin.
