Start Device

The Refrigerator Start Device Relay is mounted to the side of the compressor on the back of the refrigerator and causes the compressor to start when refrigeration is needed. If your refrigerator isn’t cooling and you hear clicking or buzzing sounds coming from the compressor area, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and prior repair experience. Remember to unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
