Water Pump

The Washer Drain Pump is what drains the waste water out of your washing machine. It also houses a large filter which can be cleaned with affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner once a month. If water is leaking onto the floor from the pump, the body of the drain pump is probably cracked. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the washing machine before installing this part. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
