Drum Belt

The Dryer Drum Belt circles the dryer’s entire drum and attaches it to the motor to create constant spinning during the drying cycle. If your dryer’s motor is running but the drum isn’t turning, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. This part features 5 ribs with 4 grooves. When replacing the part, make sure the belt is aligned on the high part of the drum to prevent damage to the idler pulley guide arm. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Recommended Item: While the dryer is disassembled, also consider replacing the idler pulley (item W10116792).
