Heater Element

The Dryer Heating Element Coil is a replacement part for heating element coils that short out, causing your dryer to no longer produce the heat necessary to dry your clothes. If your dryer is not heating, first check for a blown thermal fuse on the blower housing before replacing the heating element. If the fuse isn't blown, replacing the heating element coil may alleviate the issue. This heating element coil is used to re-string the element assembly and is 240 Volts. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Recommended items: Ceramic Insulator (item WPY303881) Clip and insulator for the heating element, and Ceramic Receptacle Block (item Y304596) Terminal & insulator kit for your Maytag dryer heating element. Note: This is a manufacturer substitution. Part may differ in appearance but is a functional equivalent to prior parts.
