Idler Pulley

The Dryer Idler Pulley Kit sits between the motor and the drum of the dryer, putting tension on the drive belt. The main reason for replacing the entire assembly is when the shaft has deteriorated and the idler wheel no longer spins. This kit comes with a tri-ring and washer. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Recommended Item: Drive Belt (item 661570V). The drive belt is a very long, slender belt that wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor pulley. If the drum will not turn when the dryer is turned on the belt is likely broken.
